There once was a village on a hill.
Where there was a shepherd boy.
The boy herds lots of sheep
Simply because he has no toy.
Then on one bright and sunny day
The boy was thinking and then decided
To have some fun with tricking the people
Because he wanting to be happy and prided
And so the boy decided to wait for tomorrow
And then when it was tomorrow, he said
Oh no, I see wolves killing my sheep!
Come save me, there’s Danger ahead!
Then the neighbors heard the call
And they came running down
They were running very quickly
But when they reached the boy’s town
They looked around and quickly found,
That there was no danger
There were no tigers, lions, or wolves.
Only a laugh from a nearby manger.
The laugh was from the little boy
The neighbors were angry and thought “He is a fool”
And then they said to each other:
“He needs to go and learn in school!”
The next day, the boy was bored once again.
And he thought: “well last time my prank worked.
So if it worked last time, then this time,
Why not do it once again?” He smirked.
And so, he waited and then suddenly shouted:
“AHHHH! My sheep are being eaten! There is a beast!”
Someone come and save my sheep, for It is right there!
In the direction of the southeast!
Once again, the neighbors were running down the hill.
In fact, so fast, they hardly touched the ground.
But when they finally arrived at the bottom of the hill,
They looked around, but no beast was found.
The neighbors walked back up the hill.
And you probably knew that they were mad.
As they slowly walked up the hill,
They cried angrily: “This boy is just so bad!”
The next day, a wolf actually DID come.
And the boy was terrified. He cried: “HELP!”
But the neighbors learned their lesson and did not go down
That is until they heard a sheep’s whelp
And they came running down once again
But by the time they arrived, all the sheep were eaten
And the boy was lying in the fields,
And he looked like he was beaten.
The boy looked up at them and said repentfully:
“I am so sorry for tricking all of you,
And I promise that in the future,
I will only say what is really true.”
